Survey Technician and Staff Engineer at the Bryn Mawr, PA, office


Entry Level Survey Draftsman/Technician

  • Prepare/Draft survey plans from field crew data collector files (points), field sketches, digital photographs and reference maps
  • Generate surfaces using 3D polylines & points
  • Coordinate project requirements with team members and provide assistance when necessary to complete required tasks (i.e. deeds, utility information, FEMA flood plain, Township codes, etc.)
Job Requirements
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with 2+ years’ experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to meet project deadlines within given budget limits and time frames
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task assigned projects, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong technical background
  • Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The following qualifications and experience are a plus--

  • Deed plotting experience

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D Design/Drafting of Land Development Plans
  • Zoning compliance review of site plans and feasibility studies
  • Site grading and utility layout
  • Stormwater management design
  • Coordinate project requirements with team members and provide assistance when necessary to complete required tasks (i.e. site visits, quantity takeoffs, Township codes, etc.)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Land Surveying Manager

  • Location– Newark, DE and Georgetown, DE
  • Years of Experience- Must have at least 5 years of experience
  • Work Requirements- Should have excellent organizational, multi-tasking, oral and written interpersonal communication and teaching/mentoring skills. Perform field survey work and survey office work required to produce accurate plans depicting as-built conditions, as well as boundary determination.  Responsible for the stakeout setup for field crews and as-built of stormwater management, underground stormwater holding chambers, bio-retention facilities, and dry and wet storage ponds. AutoCAD skills required and Land Survey License is preferred.

Land Surveying Party Chief

  • Location– Newark, DE and Georgetown, DE
  • Years of Experience- Must have at least 5 years of experience
  • Work Requirements- Perform boundary, topographic survey, construction stake-out, and details for public works projects, land development projects, residential subdivision and other construction services projects.

Land Surveying Junior Party Chief

  • Location– Newark, DE and Georgetown, DE
  • Years of Experience- Must have at least 2 - 5 years of experience
  • Work Requirements- Perform boundary, topographic survey, construction stake-out, and details for public works projects, land development projects, residential subdivision and other construction services projects.

Civil Engineering Project Manager 

  • Location – Newark and Georgetown, DE, Bryn Mawr, PA
  • Years of Experience – Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience with execution of residential and non-residential civil/land development/site design projects in the State of Delaware, Maryland, or Pennsylvania.
  • Work Requirements- Should have excellent organizational, multi-tasking, oral and written interpersonal communication and teaching/mentoring skills. Responsibilities include the daily management of a team of engineers, designers and draftspersons for the efficient and timely execution of projects. Must possess skills and expertise with budgeting of  project cost, preparation of proposals, preparation of invoices, collection of AR, review of engineering design and associated QA/QC, marketing of engineering services, business development skills, attendance at public hearings, civic association meetings and presentation of projects at hearings. Must be able to motivate and train staff with the implementation of the new technologies and technical skills. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, public works improvements projects, traffic engineering, sanitary sewer pump stations and municipal engineering is a plus. Weekend and evening effort may be necessary.
  • Education - Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and be licensed as a Professional Engineer.
